Welcome to our Child Safety Policy section. At WorkSwipe, your privacy and protection matter. Whether you're a candidate showcasing your skills through a VidTro or a recruiter discovering top talent through JobShorts, we are committed to keeping our platform safe and appropriate for all users.

 

WorkSwipe is intended for individuals aged 16 and over, or the minimum legal working age in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under this age, and if such data is identified, it will be promptly deleted. This policy outlines how we uphold a secure and respectful environment for everyone using WorkSwipe.

Overview

WorkSwipe Inc. ("WorkSwipe," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to maintaining a safe platform for all users and has a zero-tolerance policy for any content, conduct, or activity involving child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This Child Safety Standards policy applies to all users of the WorkSwipe platform, including our waitlist application and future employment-focused features.

Zero Tolerance Policy

  • Prohibited Content and Conduct: WorkSwipe strictly prohibits any content, communications, or conduct that:

    • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any visual depiction, description, or promotion of sexual abuse of minors​

    • Child Exploitation: Content that exploits, grooms, or endangers the safety of children

    • Inappropriate Contact: Attempts to establish inappropriate contact with minors through our platform

    • Solicitation: Any form of solicitation, enticement, or coercion of minors

    • Sexualized Content: Any sexualized imagery, descriptions, or communications involving individuals under 18

  • Immediate Consequences: Users who engage in CSAE-related activities will face

    • Immediate account suspension or permanent termination​

    • Content removal from the platform within 24 hours of detection

    • Reporting to authorities, including law enforcement and appropriate child protection agencies

    • Permanent ban from creating new accounts on WorkSwipe

    • Legal cooperation with investigations and prosecutions​

Age Verification and Access Controls

  • Minimum Age Requirements: WorkSwipe is intended for users 16 years of age and older, or the minimum legal working age in their jurisdiction; users under 16 are not permitted to create accounts or use our services; we take into account for clear age confirmation during account registration

  • Account Monitoring: Regular review of user profiles and content for age-appropriate material, automated detection systems to identify potentially underage users, manual verification processes when age discrepancies are suspected

Content Moderation and Safety Systems

  • Proactive Detection: WorkSwipe employs multiple layers of protection:

    • Human Review: Regular manual audits of platform content and user interactions

    • Platform Safeguards: Content filtering and blocking of inappropriate material

Reporting Mechanisms

  • In-App Reporting: Use the contact/report us form in settings menu

  • Direct Contact Methods: Send us an email at safety@workswipe.ca. See the section below for more details

  • Immediate Response: All child safety reports receive priority handling within 12 hours

  • Investigation Timeline: Reports are investigated and resolved within 24 hours

  • User Notification: Reporters receive confirmation that their report has been received and processed

  • Follow-up: Updates provided on actions taken where appropriate and legally permissible

    • Communicated to all users when material changes are made 

 

This Child Safety Policy is effective as of July 22, 2025, and will be reviewed annually to ensure continued compliance with applicable privacy laws and best practices.
